Known limitations
Cosmos is useful today, but it is still an early developer preview.
Listing limitations plainly makes the product easier to trust. This page should shrink as the app matures.
Platform
- macOS Apple Silicon is the primary supported platform today.
- Windows and Linux support are planned but not ready in this alpha build.
Signing and installation
- Current alpha builds may be signed without public Apple notarization.
- The xattr quarantine workaround is kept only for trusted alpha builds or unusual macOS verification failures.
Runtime capture
- Cosmos can capture problems from projects run inside Cosmos-controlled terminals and previews.
- External browsers, external terminals, and processes launched outside Cosmos may require future attach/log flows.
AI scope
Cosmos improves context routing, but it does not guarantee that an external AI client will always use the right tool or make the right edit. Review important changes as you would with any AI coding assistant.
