Privacy
Cosmos is designed so useful memory does not require uploading your code.
This page is the short, plain-language version of the privacy posture for the current demo build.
Local app data
When you index a folder, Cosmos stores a local memory and code index on your machine. That local index is what powers search, MCP tools, project lessons, and code-aware answers.
Account and billing data
If you join a waitlist, register for a discount, or use planned Pro features, Atitechs may process the information needed for that flow, such as an email address, billing status, and support messages.
AI tool interactions
When you connect Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI through MCP, those tools can request scoped context from Cosmos. Cosmos does not control how an external AI provider handles the context after your chosen client sends it onward.
Your choices
- Do not index folders you do not want Cosmos to see.
- Keep cloud backup off if you only want local storage.
- Remove indexed projects from the app when you no longer want them available to AI tools.
